An Eastwood graduate has been selected as one of 20 nominees to win the Outstanding Activities Award for
seniors from the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University
Caitlin Bushman, of Pemberville, was chosen as one of the "Top 20 Seniors" in the award program
which recognizes students for both academic achievement and outstanding service through leadership
within student organizations.
Bushman, the daughter, of Mark and Barb Bushman, is a graduating senior in animal sciences.
During her time at OSU, she had the opportunity to be involved with several organizations and events. She
was an active member of Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority for all four years, and also had
the opportunity to travel and compete on both the Meat Judging and Livestock Judging Teams.
She also was a member of the Scarlet and Grey Ag Day planning committee, educating more than 600
elementary students about agriculture.
Following her graduation next month, Bushman will be working for the Ohio Pork Producers Council located
in Columbus and coaching the 2012 Ohio State Meat Judging Team in the fall.
The awards were presented at the 2012 CFAES Recognition Banquet held May 10.
