Theodore R. Keys, 93, of Portage, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012.
Theodore was born in Portage Township, Ohio to the late Emery J. and Ida M.
(Blackman) Keys. He married Laurella M. Housholder on February 13, 1937 and she
survives.
Also surviving are; a daughter: Connie (Donald) Mears of Portage, Ohio; two sons:
Raymond (Marilyn) Keys and Thomas (Carolyn) Keys, both of Portage, Ohio; a
brother: Wayne L. Keys of Wayne, Ohio; and nine grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Theodore was a life long farmer and an avid gardener.
He was a member of the Portage Center United Methodist Church and currently a member
Christ United Methodist Church, in Portage and also was a member of the Portage
Township School Board, the Farmer’s Union and the Farm Bureau.
Visitation for Mr. Keys will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. in
the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling
Green, 419-352-2171.
Mr. Key’s funeral service will be on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the
Christ United Methodist Church, 301 W. Main St. Portage, OH 43451. Burial will
follow in the Portage Cemetery, Portage, Ohio.
