Mary Jane (Kidd) Mears will observe her 90th birthday at an open house on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. in
the fellowship room at Plain Congregational Church, 16011 W. Poe Road.
She was born April 13, 1922 in Bowling Green and was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She married
James F. Mears Jr. in 1940; he died in 2002. She worked at Cook’s Shoe Store in downtown Bowling Green
for over 20 years.
Mears has three sons, David, Tontogany; Don and DJ, both of Portage. She has seven grandchildren and four
great grandchildren.
