Rossford mom, son indicted for kidnapping

The Perrysburg mother and son alleged to have been involved in a Rossford kidnapping case were both
indicted on Wednesday by a Wood County grand jury. Also five men with Bowling Green ties were all
indicted as co-defendants for aggravated burglary or complicity to aggravated burglary.
Rosa Zapata, 42, and her son, Emiliano Zapata, 21, both of the same Triumph Lane address in Perrysburg
Township are each facing kidnapping charges. All were among 18 people indicted in the session.
The family pair allegedly kidnapped the son’s ex-girlfriend from a Rossford residence on March 31. They
then reportedly assaulted her and dropped the victim off at the victim’s father’s residence in a beaten
condition. She was treated at St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee.
As indicted the kidnapping charges are first-degree felonies, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Cody J. Miller, 20, of Port Clinton and formerly of Bowling Green, was indicted for aggravated burglary.

According to court documents, Miller, on or about March 18, did trespass in a Fifth Street apartment by
force and inflicted physical harm to a victim. At the time of the offense he was released on bond after
being charged with another aggravated burglary offense at a gas station/convenience store on South Main
Street.
Miller’s co-defendants were also indicted with similar charges. All are listed with Bowling Green
addresses, except as noted. They are Oscar Gonzalez, 19, Ezequiel Gonzalez, 18, Detroit, Jonathon
Thomas, 20, and Ricardo Cardenas, 26, Cardenas was indicted for complicity for aiding and abetting the
others who were indicted with aggravated burglary, all first-degree felonies, in the matter.
Others indicted include:
• George J. Price, 49, of Toledo, indicted with burglary for a Feb. 2 incident on River Road in
Perrysburg Township. There is also a specification regarding him as a repeat violent offender.
• Scott Elder, 44, of Toledo, for theft after accepting a $1,300 check and $30 in cash to perform work at
a Perrysburg home that he never performed.
• Michael B. Davis, 34, of Bowling Green, receiving stolen property for having used a stolen BGSU Visa
card to make purchases at a Circle K store on March 2.
• Joshua L. Chevalier, 27, of Toledo, theft, for stealing more than $1,000 from Fuel Mart between Oct. 1,
2011 and Feb. 10.
• Two Cicero, Ill. men, Jose Gonzalez-Villalobos, 43, and Jose Tizoc-Morales, 33, were each indicted for
possessing criminal tools, trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine. Court documents indicate
six kilograms of cocaine were found in a secret compartment in the vehicle following a traffic stop. A
2008 Infinity was listed as property subject to forfeiture, along with a cell phone, I-Pass transponder.
The charges also carry a major drug offender specification.
• Marlo L. Williams, 38, of Detroit, misuse of credit cards.
• Geni L. Larcom, 18, of Caledonia, and Thomas Michael Damon, 22, of Belleville, Mich., each with failure
to appear as required by their own recognizance bonds.
• Eric P. Lanning, 40, of Toledo, aggravated burglary, in regard to a May 14, 2011 incident in Lake
Township.
• Tiffany R. Lawson, 29, of Bowling Green, aggravated possession.
In addition to those indicted, bills of information were handed down for four individuals. Those thus
charged are:
• Clinton W Myerholtz, 31, of Whitehouse, burglary, for a Feb. 3 incident on White Road in Perrysburg.

• Benjamin A Barrett, 20, of Bowling Green, trafficking in drugs.
• Kyle P Sullivan, 21, of Perrysburg, trafficking in drugs.
• Deanna M Swint, 30, of Curtice, possession of drugs.
