Bowling Green native Alissy Czisny finished 22nd in the World Figure Skating
Championships in Nice, France.
She fell five times during Saturday’s free skate and ended up with a total of 124.11
points.
Czisny, who was fifth in the worlds last year, fell a total of seven times in the
championships. She also fell twice during Thursday’s short program where she
finished 16th.
"I’m confused as to what has happened here," said Czisny, who was second in
the U.S. Championships earlier this year.
Czisny, the U.S. champion in 2009 and 2011, landed no clean triple jumps Saturday.

Carolina Kostner of Italy won with a 189.94 total, while Russia’s Alena Leonova
scored 184.28 for second place, and Japan’s Akiko Suzuki was third with 180.68.
