Local agronomic update meeting
A free seminar on corn fertility is Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Wood County
Extension Office, 639 Dunbridge Road. No reservation is needed.
Dr. Ed Lentz , OSU Extension agronomist, will discuss managing fertilizer inputs for
corn production including: nitrogen loss inhibitors, micronutrients, and starter
fertilizer.
Early registration deadline for Conservation Tillage event
ADA – The early registration deadline is Friday to save $10 on a one-day admission to
the Conservation Tillage conference.
Register by credit card at http://ctc.osu.edu or mail a check. A registration form is
available at the Wood County Extension Office.
The Conservation Tillage Conference will be held March 6-7, with a soil quality
workshop on March 5. The Ohio Northern University McIntosh Center is the
location. More than 60 presentations on tillage, nutrient management, corn
university, soybean school, and precision agriculture will be covered.
