A warrant has been issued for Robert Speelman, 24, after he left the NorthWest Community Corrections
Center on Tuesday, and didn’t return.
Speelman, of Oregon, reportedly was granted a furlough day from the center, at 1740 E. Gypsy Lane Road,
to visit his wife and newborn son at Bay Park Hospital in Oregon. His wife told police he left the
hospital at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
He is facing a charge of escape, a fifth-degree felony.
Speelman also has active failure to appear warrant through Walbridge Police, and, according to police,
has been flagged for escape risk and violent tendencies.
