Janis L. Smoyer, 62, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away at Bridge Hospice on Monday, December 12, 2011.

Janis was born March 11, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Leslie and Mary (Hackanson) Momyer. She married Brad
Smoyer on April 10, 1979 and he survives of Bowling Green.
Also surviving are sons, Duane Smoyer of B.G., Jeffery Atkin of B.G., Scott Smoyer of Hawaii, daughters,
Laurie Smoyer of Weston, Tina Neff of Lima, Ohio and 10 grandchildren.
Janis currently worked for Wood Lane School and Industries and previously worked 30 years for Capital
Plastics, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Modine and Marathon all of Bowling Green.
She was a 1967 graduate of Parma High School and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She loved
playing golf, gardening, her dog, "BJ", watching hummingbirds and spending time with her
grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mark’s
Lutheran Church. Rev. Dale Schaefer will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at the church.
DUNN FUNERAL HOME, 408 W. Wooster St. located in the Historical District of Bowling Green is handling
arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Janis’s memory may be given to Wood County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
