Colorful Clovers
The Colorful Clovers 4-H Club members have been working hard these past few weeks.
At the most recent meeting members presented demonstrations, decided on the club’s T-shirt design and
talked about the slogan for the float this year. They also discussed a project called Walk Across Wood
County, which is where members can fill out an exercise log or ask for donations to help a charity.
Lastly members were encouraged to sign up to help serve the senior citizens at the fair on Aug. 4.
Tontogany Hotwires
The Tontogany Hotwires 4-H club met Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The treasurer reminded members
who haven’t paid their dues yet to do so.
Old business included discussions about fair booth ideas and float ideas. Other business discussed
included talking about fundraisers which were slated to be held today at TSC. Members will be serving
customers at TSC along with a car wash for a donation.
New business included discussions about community service projects the club will be doing at the fair
this year. The club will meet by the champion barn on July 10 at 3 p.m. for the next meeting. It will be
decided then what the club’s community service project will be.
Cloverbuds that attended the last meeting participated in activities which included working on seed
mosaics for judging on Thursday in the Junior Fair Building.
The meeting was adjourned and those taking animals projects reviewed for the Skill-a-thon.
Leaders of Tomorrow
The Leaders of Tomorrow 4-H group met Sunday. Everyone had a good time at the group trip to Cedar Point
last Friday. Members voted on a club T-shirt design. Float and booth for fair was discussed.
Members were reminded of judging and fair dates. There were seven demonstrations on 4-H projects.
The next meeting is 2 p.m. July 10 at Ben Wilhelm’s house.
Lake Harvesters
The Lake Harvesters 4-H club held a meeting June 26. The Greenes and Reicherts were thanked for helping
plant pumpkins seeds for the annual fundraiser.
This year there were four members who went to 4-H camp and talked about the great time they all had.
Eleven club members spoke about what they have been learning while doing this year’s projects and were
asked questions by the advisers to get ready for judging.
Everyone was informed of important upcoming dates. Grilled pizza bread was the snack.
