BG Catholic churches to celebrate Corpus Christi

0

The Bowling Green Catholic community will join forces to celebrate the church’s Feast of the Body and
Blood of Christ on June 25.
Organizing the effort are the two Catholic churches, St. Aloysius, 148 S. Enterprise, and St. Thomas More
University Parish, 425 Thurstin Ave.
This is the second consecutive year for the joint effort on the church’s feast day.
The celebration will begin with the Saturday evening Mass at both churches. St. Thomas More begins at 5
p.m., with the St. Aloysius Mass at 5:30 p.m.
A "Corpus Christi" procession, Latin for the body of Christ, will follow the St. Thomas More
Mass where the faithful will take the Blessed Sacrament with them to St. Aloysius. Those processing
should arrive towards the end of the St. Aloysius Mass.
At that point, members of both congregations join together for a procession around the St. Aloysius
property, and return to the church.
Those who are unable to process are invited to remain inside the church and pray.
A potluck meal follows in Hartmann Hall.
