‘Pig and Jam Roast2’ set for June 11

TOLEDO – Toledo Country Limits, an outreach mission of The Church of Saint Andrews United Methodist
Church, in partnership with Toledo Campus Ministry, has announced a fundraiser for June 11 running from
4 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, 3620 Heatherdowns Blvd. Pig and Jam Roast2 is a casual fundraiser which
includes a meal and live local music.
Pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers or hotdogs with all the "picnic fixin’s" like baked beans
and coleslaw are available for just $6 per person.
Live music kicks off at 4 p.m. with 4 UniTy, an a cappella quartet from Toledo Campus Ministry, followed
by Sheltered Reality Drum Core at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., The Range will take the stage to play the best of
today’s and yesterday’s country music with a message of hope.
In addition organizers will be collecting personal hygiene items for the Migrant Worker Mission. Also,
chair massage and other items to purchase will be available, along with a silent auction featuring works
created by local artists.
Funds raised at this event allows Toledo Campus Ministry and St. Andrew Toledo Country Limits to fulfill
their mission of building respect, encouraging diversity, and exploring faith through service and
bringing people closer to Christ.
Many important programs in our community have been launched or supported through the commitment of these
two groups such as: Family Promise, Habitat for Humanity, community gardens, tutoring school children,
the Good Samaritan Outreach, migrant workers support, Financial Peace, Honor Flights, promoting local
artists and supporting many other programs at the University of Toledo and its surrounding area.
Toledo Country Limits is an organization of professional musicians and many volunteers that use the
medium of country music to reach into the community and bring them closer to Christ.
