Bertha M. Peck, 92, of Rudolph, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011.
She was born in Berea, Ohio to the late Howard and Ruth (Alwood) McEwen. She married Edwin Peck and he
preceded her in death in 1997.
Bertha is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Treadaway of Lincolnton, North Carolina; Sheri (Gene)
French of Bonita Springs, Florida; a son, Michael (Karen) Peck of Bowling Green; a sister, Coral Long of
Ft. Myers, Florida; a brother, Bob McEwen of Hopkins, Michigan; seven grandchildren: Tim, Mark, Curt,
Craig, Molly, Rob and Jeremy; 15 great-grandchildren; one yet-to-be-born great-grandchild; and two
great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Jim, Dick, Howard and Floyd, a sister, Nellie, and one unborn
great-grandchild.
Bertha was a member of Bible Methodist Church in Findlay, Ohio where she truly loved her church family.
She loved tending to flowers in her yard and loved to cook. She was known to lovingly bake delicious
pumpkin bars and "gift" them.
According to her family, Bertha was a very helpful person willing to drop everything to help someone in
their time of need. She acknowledged important occasions in the lives of those she loved with
appropriate greeting cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, sympathy, thinking of you, and
encouragement. Bertha truly was a loving mother and grandma. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME
& CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402; Tele: 419/352-2171. Her
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in the Rudolph
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be gifted in Bertha’s honor to Bible Methodist Church, 529 Stadium Dr.,
Findlay, OH 45840.
