Jericho Road to be at Portage campgrounds
PORTAGE – The popular quartet, Jericho Road, will appear on June 4 at 6 p.m. in concert at Portage
Holiness Campground, 12306 Portage Road. This will be a free concert with a "love offering"
taken.
There will be food and fellowship following the concert.
Ice cream again offered
PORTAGE – Christ United Methodist Church, 301 W. Main, Portage, will hold its 55th annual Ice Cream
Social on Monday beginning at 5 p.m.
The traditional feature will be the homemade ice cream. There will also be sandwiches, soups and other
desserts including cakes and pies.
The public is invited.
Healing service set
NORTH BALTIMORE – Church and community members are invited to attend a "Healing Service" Sunday
at 7 p.m. at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 N. Second St., North Baltimore.
The service, which includes anointing with oil, is for those with specific requests for healing, as well
as an opportunity to pray for others in need of healing.
Garage sale for building fund
There will be a garage sale held at 1052 Avery Drive in Bowling Green June 3-4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both
days. Proceeds will be used for the Building Fund for Sonlight Assembly of God, Weston.
The new building will be ready for occupancy later this year with a large celebration planned by the
congregation.
June concerts set
NORTH BALTIMORE – Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., has announced a series of concerts for June. Each of the
concerts is scheduled to be held at the Petro Truck Stop, located at Interstate 75 and Ohio Route 18 in
North Baltimore.
The line up includes Damascus Road on June 5; Kathy and Samantha Hoffer on June 12; Paula Barron on June
19; and Chris Baldwin on June 26.
Each concert is set to begin at 6 p.m. Those attending should bring their own lawn chair.
BBQ supports camps
ELMORE – Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore, is sponsoring a chicken barbecue on June 5, beginning
at 11 a.m. until sold out.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Ohio, providing camping
experiences for children and adults around the state.
The dinner includes a half chicken, baked potato, green beans, roll and butter, and homemade cookies and
brownies. The cost is $8.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is providing matching funds of $500 for this event. It will be
drive-through service only.
Tickets are available at the church office, 19225 W. Witty Road, just north of Elmore at the intersection
of Witty Road and Ohio Route 51.
Tickets should be purchased in advance. Unsold tickets, if any, will be available at the door.
