PERRYSBURG – For the fifth year in a row Perrysburg Schools has placed among the "Best 100
Communities for Music Education" in an annual survey conducted by the NAMM Foundation, which honors
schools and districts across the U.S. for their commitment and support of music education.
NAMM Foundation sponsors the annual survey, in partnership with leading music and educational
organizations, to promote the benefits of active participation in music and music education. It gathers
information about district financial support, community support, number of music faculty and the number
and types of music classes offered by the schools.
"What sets us apart from many other districts in the country is that we strive to create a high
quality, well-rounded education for our students that includes musical training in all three areas of
band, choir and orchestra. It is definitely an honor to receive this recognition for the fifth straight
year," said high school band director Scott Schleuter.
