More than 700 students invited to senior recognitions at Penta

High school seniors from 16 area school districts, who will be completing career-technical programs at
Penta Career Center, will be honored during special senior recognition ceremonies on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday. All ceremonies will take place in the Susor Auditorium at Penta, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg
Township.
Each student will receive a Career Passport which contains their personalized Certificate of Completion.
In addition, seniors will be recognized for career-technical student organization accomplishments and
other school-related achievements. One of the highlights of each ceremony is the announcement of the
recipients of the Outstanding Student Award for each career-technical program.
The Penta senior recognition events, in which over 700 students will participate over the course of three
days, will take place on the following dates and times:
¥ Monday at 1:15 p.m. for Marketing Education Programs, for students from Anthony Wayne, Bowling Green,
Maumee, Oak Harbor, Penta, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Springfield.
¥ Monday at 4:15 p.m. for Teaching Professions Programs, for students from Anthony Wayne, Penta,
Perrysburg and Springfield.
¥ Monday at 6 p.m. for Arts & Communication/Business & Management/Health Services
Programs, for students in the following programs: A+ Computer Technology; Business/Marketing Concepts;
Dental Assistant; Digital Video Production; Exercise Science/Sports Health Care; Geospatial Information
Systems; Interactive Media; Medical & Legal Office Management; and Medical Technologies.
¥ Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. for Construction and Manufacturing Programs, including: Applied Manufacturing
Technology; Computer-Aided Design; Construction Carpentry; Construction Electricity; Construction
Masonry; Construction Remodeling; Construction Trades; HVAC/R Piping Systems Technology; and Welding.

¥ Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. for Agriculture and Transportation Programs, including: Automotive Collision
Repair; Automotive Technology; Floral Design/Greenhouse Production; Gas & Diesel Engine Systems;
Green Energy Management; Landscape & Turfgrass Management; and Small Animal Care.
¥ Tuesday at 6 p.m. for Human Services Programs, including: Cosmetology; Culinary Arts; Early Childhood
Education; Hair Design; Public Safety/Criminal Justice; and Public Safety/EMT-Fire Science.
¥ Wednesday at 11 a.m. for Job Training Program.
Participating in the ceremonies will be Ronald Matter, superintendent of Penta; Jeff Kurtz,
career-technical director; Penta Career Center supervisors; and representatives of the Penta Board of
Education.
