PEMBERVILLE – Auditions for "Who’s Dying to Be a Millionaire?," presented by the Pemberville
Freedom Area Historical Society, are this weekend in the Pemberville Opera House.
The workshop will be Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. with additional rehearsals closer to show time starting
in early June.
Production dates are Aug. 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 8 at 2 p.m.
Smart contestants are dropping from the hottest game show on television one by one. The overly-smooth
host of the show, Reginald Smarmy, is giving away $1 million to the person that can answer the
"next question."
After three deaths the director of the show, Clovis Darnell, is dealing with the police trying to close
down production, yet the ratings are soaring.
This drama is an oddball mix of mayhem as well as great characters. Among them are a rival game show
host, Sally Dean Riviera, and a stage manager, Denny Perkins, who moonlights as an amateur detective.
All of these components make for a suspenseful and riotous romp that will appeal to those of all ages.

Audition times are 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They are open to children ages 7-16.

The Gale and Marlyn Williamson Performing Arts Fund provides the funding for the children’s programming
at the Pemberville Opera House.
