TONTOGANY – Laureate Gamma Sigma of Beta Sigma Phi Tontogany held a May 2 Mothers Day celebration. The
guests were introduced followed by dinner.
Janice Kaiser did a reading about mothers.
A fashion show was held, with Jackie Shank as narrator. Dresses were made by the members. Featured were a
tea dress made like a tea bag, black and white dress made out of newspaper, bubble wrap dress, buttons
and bows, patriotic dress, l920’s housedress and buttons and bows dress. Door prizes of flowers were
awarded.
The last meeting of the season was held May 16 at the Shank home, with lunch being served.
The chapter will visit the Chalet Tebeau in Helena on May 20.
There will be a picnic June l5 at the Tontogany Centennial Park and the group will go to a Toledo Mud
Hens baseball game July 26.
Dates were given for the coming year and members signed up for meeting. The service committee will
deliver flowers to shut ins.
The chapter will sponsor a pie baking contest at the Tontogany Festival Aug. l3.
A rhubarb dessert with ice cream were served after the meeting.
