PERRYSBURG – Travel the world at Way Public Library this summer to celebrate "One World, Many
Stories!"
Great books, terrific programs, and fun prizes await readers.
Boys and girls are invited to join the Summer Reading Club at Way Public Library. Visit the library once
each week and record the books you have read on a reading log.
At that time you will receive a small prize and a sticker on your log. Six stickers are available to
collect.
The first prize and sticker will be issued the week of June 6, and the final incentives the week of July
11.
Children entering fourth and fifth grades will be eligible for weekly prize drawings. Preschoolers may
participate by having books read to them.
During a "finale" week, held July 18-23, for as long as supplies last, children can collect one
of the stickers and prizes they missed.
The library has planned a variety of activities and programs for the summer.
¥ Enjoy the colors of the costumes and the exciting dances of the Ballet Folklorico Imagenes Mexicanas.

¥ It will be a "Time of Discovery" as the Wood County Park District presents a Native American
program. Children will experience Native American life first hand in this interactive event.
¥ Listen to the past as Native American storyteller, Jamie Oxendine, shares informative stories
describing the culture of Native Americans.
¥ Travel to "Destination, Africa" with African storyteller, Antoine Kabwasa, as he shares
folktales of Ghana.
¥ Tour Fort Meigs and learn about the importance of this fort in "A Visit to Our History."
¥ Imagination Station of Toledo will visit the library to explore "Seeing Stars in Constellations
Around the World." Learn how different cultures saw their visions in the sky.
¥ Zeemo, the Yo-yo Man, will thrill with his yo-yo tricks and more as he demonstrates his international
toys with us in "Tic Tac Go."
¥ Three to 6-year-olds will enjoy a "Madeline" storytime consisting of stories, games and a
craft.
¥ Youngsters will have some cool tricks up their sleeves by participating in "Magic Workshops."

The above programs all require online registration beginning June 1 at 9 a.m. at www.waylibrary.info.
This can be done from home or at the library computers.
Programs needing registration at the Youth Services’ Desk include "Page Turners’ Book
Discussion" for ages 9-12, "Reading to the Dogs" for ages 7-10, and "PAAC Doodle Art
Camp."
The Doodle Art Camp will be offered weekly and has a fee of $4 per session to participate. The art
programs are a collaborative effort with the Perrysburg Area Art Council, the Perrysburg Recreation
Program and the library.
