Falcon women finish 11th

DEKALB, Ill. — Bowling Green’s women’s track team finished 11th in the 12-team Mid-American Conference
championships. Kent State won the title with 1171?2 points. BG finished with 36 points.
Jeanette Pettigew led the Falcons, finishing third in the 100 (11.49) and 200 (23.78). Both times were
the second fastest all-time for the Falcons. Pettigrew also ran on the 400 relay team which was eighth.

BG’s Tatijana Jackson was second in the high jump (5-7). Jackson was on the All-MAC second-team.
BG’s Barbara Powers, a Bowling Green High School graduate, was 10th in the 3,000 steeplechase.
Also for the Falcons, Heather Conger was sixth in the 800 (2:14.57) and Jessie Rowland was eighth in the
shot (44-9).
Perrysburg High School graduate Courtney Weiss finished fifth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 62.61 for
Ohio.
Kent State’s Katie Reiser was fifth in the 100 (11.76). She also finished 10th in the 200 (24.50) and
ninth in the 400 relay (47.19). She is an Elmwood High School graduate.
Rossford High School graduate Rachael Clay was sixth in the 400 for Miami, finishing in a season-best
time of 56.18. Clay also helped Miami to a fourth-place finish in the 1,600 relay (3:46.98).DEKALB, Ill.
