Club members enjoyed a Polish meal for their annual International Dinner, held May 9 at the home of Barb
Limes. Eleven women took part in the meal prepared by various club members.
The menu included split pea and sausage soup, cucumber and radish salad, appetizers made with cheese,
green peppers and mustard butter on rye slices, two Polish casseroles, brussel sprouts with sausage, and
chocolate babka bread. Polish pastries were served for dessert.
Marian Frobose and Miriam Aufdenkamp shared information about the country of Poland, facts about its
history and customs.
Betty Wenig led a brief business meeting. Information was given about some of the meetings coming up in
the fall.
The next meeting will be held Sept. 12 at Limes’ home. Wood County Extension Agent Doris Herringshaw will
give a presentation on prescription safety.
