Wooden ducks are dropped into the Portage River May 1 as part of a Family Fun Day at Harrison Park in
Pemberville, proceeds from which benefited Eastwood High School’s scholarship fund. Kim Long won the
$1,000 prize when her duck was first to cross under the Bridge Street bridge in town; she donated her
winnings to the scholarship fund. Wood County Park District offered canoe rides, and American Legion
Post No. 183 had a chicken barbecue. (Photo: Enoch Wu/Sentinel-Tribune)
