Electronics recycling at Goodwill, Ice Arena

An electronics recycling day will take place Friday, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Goodwill store at 1058 N.
Main St., and the BGSU Ice Arena on Mercer Road. (The ice arena is a change of location from a
collection point reported in a previous news release.)
Items that will be accepted are computers, laptops, computer monitors, keyboards and cell phones. (The
items that will be accepted also is slightly different from the list first reported.)
This event is open to the public.
All part of Earth Week activities, this event is the class project of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership
BG Class of 2011. Partnering with BGSU, class members will work shifts at drop off locations throughout
the day, helping load the trucks.
Donated cell phones will assist victims of domestic violence at the Cocoon Shelter.
In cooperation with Goodwill, Dell will recycle the computer components. Donating individuals are
responsible for wiping any confidential data from devices.
Goodwill will accept other working electronics in the store (typewriters, adding machines, printers,
small copiers), but cannot accept large floor model copiers.
Sponsors of this event include BGSU and Goodwill.
Businesses represented by class members include: Rose Realty, Wood County District Public Library, Wood
County Sheriff’s Office, Wood Lane, Wood County Prosecuting Attorney, Fifth Third Bank, Danberry Co.
Realtors, Wood County Hospital, Wood County Insurance Agency, A.A. Green RealtyInc., and BG Christian
Academy.
