Black Swamp Outlaws
The Black Swamp Outlaws 4-H Club met recently for its March business meeting.
The Outlaws picked their projects for the upcoming year, played fair-themed Family Feud, the new club
point system was introduced, and the health and safety officers Jessie Low and Devin Spencer
demonstrated how to be safe around a horse barn.
The Outlaws will be volunteering at the March 27 flea market at the Junior Fair Building at the Wood
County Fairgrounds.
Members are to still be selling for the bowling fundraiser, remember to sell at least five tickets. The
tickets and money are due at the April meeting. For more information about the fundraiser, please refer
to the March 9 e-mail.
All 4-H project forms, project changes, and camp scholarship forms were due April 1. Horse Camp papers
are due April 15.
The next meeting will be this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Fantasy Acres, 13830 Roachton Road in Perrysburg. Club
members will be ordering spirit wear and polos for 2011. For prices and what is available, please refer
to the March 9 e-mail, and please bring your order and money to the April meeting. If you participate in
a school or club sport, please bring your practice and/or game schedule to help eliminate scheduling
conflicts.
Lake Harvesters
The Lake Harvesters 4-H Club held a meeting April 3. This year there are 22 members in the club.
All of the club members received their project books. The club will be participating in the Walk Across
Wood County as a community service project.
At the March 20 meeting the members elected the following officers: Jenna Reichert, president; Payton
Schroyer, vice president; Sophia Jackson, secretary and Ashley Greene as news reporter.
The next meeting will be held May 1.
