The Wood County Park District is presenting two programs next week.
¥ "Who’s In Your Garden?" will be held Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Park district
headquarters on Mercer Road.
Some garden "visitors" are destructive, some are fascinating, and others are just annoying.
Those attending will find out who they are and what to do about them.
¥ A tool sharpening program will be held April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at Reuthinger Preserve, 30730
Oregon Road. This program is also being held in conjunction with the Wood County Master Gardeners.
Those attending should bring their garden tools, pruners, shears, shovels etc., and get them ready for
spring. The program will cover basic tool maintenance and care tips for standard garden tools. Time will
be devoted to actually sharpening the tools brought out. Those attending are also asked to bring any
sharpening stones or files they have at home to the program.
Those wishing to attend should register at www.wcparks.org or call (419) 353-1897, or (800) 321-1897.
Space is limited.
A basic garden tool sharpening kit will be available, but not required for a cost of $12.
