Kathy Lauwers, an early care and education teacher at the Owens Child Care Center Laboratory School in
Perrysburg Township, has been selected to receive the 2011 Terri Lynne Lokoff/Children’s TYLENOL®
National Child Care Teacher Award.
Lauwers, of Toledo, she will be one of 50 teachers to receive $1,000 on April 14 at a ceremony in
Philadelphia.
Lauwers will implement her project with a grant from the TLLCCF. Her plan is to create a more natural
space for the playground, including a "tree cookie" pathway, log benches, flowers and
