Weston Legion to host fish fry
WESTON – Weston American Legion Post No. 409 will serve an all-you-can-eat fish fry on Friday from 5 to 7
p.m. A donation of $8 is requested, and carryout will be available.
Euchre tourney in Walbridge
WALBRIDGE – VFW Post No. 9963 men’s auxiliary will hold a euchre tournament on Saturday. The event will
start at 1 p.m. at the post.
The $10 entry will include lunch. Cash prizes will be given to first through third place; fourth place
will get a free entry into the next tournament.
Injury crash in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – One man was injured following a two-car accident at Ohio 25 and Craig Drive in the city
Thursday afternoon.
According to Perrysburg Police, at 3:45 p.m. Edward Jacobs, Gibsonburg, driving a 2003 Ford F150, was
southbound on Route 25 when Terry Tschappt, Northwood, northbound in a 2009 Toyota Tacoma, attempted to
turn left into River Place Shopping Center. Tschappt did not see Jacobs’ vehicle, and was struck.
Tschappt was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, with non-incapacitating injuries.
He was cited with failure to yield right of way at a left turn.
Book club meets April 6
The Read for Inspiration Book Club will meet April 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wood County District Public
Library, 251 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
The group will discuss Beverly Lewis’ "The Shunning."

Learn to give swim lessons
The Bowling Green State University Department of Recreation and Wellness will offer a Red Cross water
safety instructor course to students, faculty/staff, and members of the community.
Participants must be at least 15 years old.
The course will start April 5 and continue through April 21 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There is a
fee for the course.
