A Toledo man wanted for armed robbery was arrested in Bowling Green over the weekend.
Evon L. Dixon Jr., 20, was taken into custody shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday after police officers were
called to a downtown bar for a reported assault.
According to the Bowling Green Police Division, Dixon approached another man standing in front of Tubby’s
Bar, 135 N. Main St., and struck the man in the head several times. The victim’s friends attempted to
intervene, causing Dixon to fall into and break the bar’s large plate-glass window.
Local police learned the Toledo Police Department had issued a felony warrant for Dixon for armed
robbery. He was arrested on the warrant and taken to the justice center.
Dixon also was cited for assault and criminal damaging; bond was set at $17,000 (10 percent applicable).

He appeared in court, via video, for arraignment this morning.
