BGSU announces presidential finalists

Three finalists for the post of Bowling Green State University’s 11th president were announced Friday.

Presidential Search Committee Chairperson and BGSU Trustee William Primrose III made the announcement in
an e-mail to faculty and staff.
Each of the candidates will be visiting BGSU over the next few weeks to meet with constituent groups and
learn more about the university.
The two-day visits will include a public presentation.
The following presentations, to be held in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Theater (Room 206), are
scheduled:
¥ Dr. William N. Ruud, president, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Thursday, 3:30 p.m.
¥ Dr. Mary Ellen Mazey, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, Auburn University, March 14,
3:30 p.m.
¥ Dr. Gary L. Miller, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs and Research, Wichita State
University, March 16, 3:30 p.m.
Live and recorded video of the sessions will be available on the Web.
Professional information about each candidate will be made available next week.
Primrose said the search remains on schedule for a new president to be in place this summer.
President Carol Cartwright will retire at the end of June.
