Elaine Angela Foels, 73, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 after a brief
illness, at her home in the arms of her loving husband, Thomas of 41 years.
She was born on March 21, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Anton J. Harmacinski and Angeline C. (Lewandowski)
Harmacinski. Elaine attended Central Catholic High School then continued her education at Davis Business
College while working and raising her two boys, Raymond and William. Elaine married Thomas J. Foels on
November 1, 1969 and together they had two children, Paul and Brenda.
Elaine retired from Travel Centers of America after 10 years of service, and then devoted her life to her
grandchildren. In recent years with the birth of her granddaughter, Olivia, it became apparent to
everyone who knew Elaine that this precious little angel captured her heart forever.
She is survived by her dedicated husband, Thomas; loving children, Raymond (Mary) Harmacinski and William
Reilly, both of Toledo, Ohio; Paul (Kristen) Foels of Waterville, Ohio; Brenda (Matthew) Jakey of
Moline, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her brothers, Norbert (Teresa) Harmacinski
of Sylvania, Ohio and David Harmacinski of Houston, Texas.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents.
The Foels family is welcoming friends and family to celebrate Elaine’s life at the Westgate Chapel, 2500
Wilford Dr. in Toledo, on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 for visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with services
beginning at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be provided immediately following. Elaine will be laid to rest
in the Lake Township Cemetery, Walbridge, Ohio at 3 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the
donor’s choice.
