Falcon football signs another Florida recruit
Chris Gallon, a wide receiver at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fla., has signed a national letter
of intent to attend Bowling Green and play football.
Gallon was not able to send his signed letter of intent to Bowling Green on Wednesday.
Gallon, 6-foot-4, 207 pounds, had 67 receptions for 1,010 yards and 17 touchdowns combined as a junior
and senior. Dr. Phillips went 14-1 in 2010 and 25-2 over the last two years. Gallon averaged 16.2 yards
a catch as a senior on 36 receptions for 674 yards and nine touchdowns helping lead the Panthers to the
Class 6A state title game. He had a pair of touchdown catches in his team’s 42-27 loss to Miami Central
in the title contest.
Gallon was charged with battery and hazing, both misdemeanors under Florida law, following a September
incident in the football locker room.
BG has 22 recruits, including eight from Florida.
BG’s Hennegan earns academic honor
Bowling Green women’s basketball senior Maggie Hennegan has been named to the academic all-district 4
first-team.
Hennegan, a fifth-year senior, is in the MBA program at BG after graduating in August with a perfect 4.00
grade point average as a health care administration major with a minor in business.
She was named to the team for the second consecutive year, having earned second-team honors in 2009-10.

Hennegan, a native of Cincinnati (St. Ursula), has started all 22 games this season, and is averaging 9.0
points and 5.5 rebounds per game. She is fourth on the team in scoring, and is third on the Falcons in
rebounds. Hennegan leads BG with 25 blocked shots on the year, and also had a team-best field-goal
percentage of 51.4 percent.
Fremont youth basketball tournament set
FREMONT – The Fremont Rec Center will be hosting an fifth- and sixth-grade basketball tournament Feb.
26-27.
There will be eight teams accepted in each grade, with fifth grade participating on Saturday and sixth
grade participating on Sunday.
