Oregon Legion to offer dinner
OREGON – A beef tips or pork roast dinner will be held Feb. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Christ Dunberger
American Legion Hall, 4925 Pickle Road, Oregon.
The cost is $8 for adults $8, $5 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free.
Carryout meals will be available.
Genealogy class offered
FREMONT – Finding the best websites and resources to research family history can be frustrating. The
Hayes Presidential Center’s Internet Genealogy I Class can help. Sponsored by RootsMagic,™ the next
class takes place 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Feb 12 in the Hayes Research Library. Cost is $10/adult and
$5/students through high school. Please pre-register by calling 419-332-2081.
Head Librarian Becky Hill leads the expanded Internet Genealogy I Class. Attendees will be provided
instruction on basics of how to use free genealogical websites as they undertake research. Such Internet
sources as the Center’s Ohio Obituary Index, along with FamilySearch.org, USGenweb.org, Worldcat.org,
EllisIsland.org and others will be explored in depth.
The library houses one of the area’s most comprehensive collections of genealogy resource materials.
Staff can help with questions and advice. Computers with Internet access also are available free of
charge.
RV show Feb. 11-13 in Toledo
TOLEDO – The 46th annual Camp and Travel Regional RV Show will be held Feb. 11-13 at the Seagate
Convention Centre in downtown Toledo.
The show is the largest RV show in the region. This year’s show features over 30 exhibitors.
More than 100 RV will be on display, including motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, fold-down
campers, RV’s with bunk beds with built-in DVD players, real fireplaces, HD flat screen TVs, built-in
bars and grills for tail-gating. New high tech amenities include automatic satellite dishes, in-dash
navigation systems, and computers.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 11 and 12 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 13. Admission is $7 for
