Tax issues will appear on the May 3 ballot in three school districts, one village and one ambulance
district in Wood County.
Wednesday was the filing deadline for issues to go on the primary ballot, though that deadline was pushed
back in some neighboring counties that had Level 3 snow emergencies issued Wednesday.
Following is a list of those issues filed at the Wood County Board of Elections:
¥ Portage – Two issues: An additional 1.6 mills for five years, for general construction, reconstruction,
resurfacing and repair of streets; and an additional 0.5 percent income tax for five years for general
municipal operations.
¥ Eastwood School District – 1 percent income tax renewal for five years, for current expenses.
¥ North Baltimore School District – Renewal of 2.1 mills for 10 years, for emergency requirements.
¥ Fostoria City School District – Renewal of 7.51 mills for five years, for emergency requirements.
¥ Northwest Wood Ambulance District – Renewal of 4 mills for three years, for current expenses.
