A warrant for domestic violence was to be issued for a Fostoria man following an incident in which a
woman was reportedly slapped in the face by her son’s father.
A theft incident was reported Jan. 20 at Otsego Middle School in Grand Rapids.
Accidents occurred:
Jan. 21
¥ at U.S. 6 and Ohio 199. A 1986 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by David Adamsons, Steuben, Ind., was
westbound on Route 6 when it braked to avoid a collision with a vehicle ahead of it, crossed the center
line and jackknifed. A 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Stephanie Berridge, Gibsonburg, while taking evasive
action to avoid Adamsons’ vehicle, ran off the right side of the road and into a small embankment. The
vehicles did not make contact with one another.
¥ at Garling Road, a quarter-mile west of Pemberville Road. A 2003 Dodge Durango driven by Chad Kowalski,
Luckey, was eastbound on Garling Road when the driver lost control coming around a curve and went into a
ditch, flipping upside down.
Rasheen Dunn, Findlay, was taken to Wood County Justice Center on a warrant for contempt of court.
An unruly 13-year-old was reported in the 20000 block of Evon Lane, Weston, and an unruly 15-year-old was
reported in the 10000 block of Sugar Street, Millbury.
Jan. 22 incidents
In the 23000 block of Defiance Pike, Custar, a man reported a possible scam. On Jan. 21 he received a
check for $3,975 from a credit union with an address in Alexandria, Va. An accompanying letter said that
the man had won a lottery and that to claim the rest of his winnings, he had to cash the check and sent
back $2,975 to a tax agent through Western Union.
A Tontogany man was arrested for domestic violence in the village, following an incident in which he
reportedly pushed his wife to the ground and struck her in the face, and then also took a knife from a
drawer and threatened to stab her former boyfriend, who was not present.
A domestic violence incident was reported from Jerry City.
On Jan. 23, at an apartment the 600 block of East Crocker Street, an assault was reported between a
boyfriend and girlfriend.
A trailer, valued at $16,000 and owned by Transport America, Eagan, Minn., was reported missing Jan. 23
from a lot at B and B Trailer Repair in Luckey. The trailer was reportedly dropped off on Jan. 16 and
was to be picked up by a driver on Jan. 23. It was described as a white 2010 Wabash box trailer with a
blue and red Transport America logo along its length.

A scam was reported in the 21000 block of Stony Ridge, Luckey. A caller reported that a female called her
residence advising she was with a group representing the seniors of Wood County and wanted to speak with
her at her house the next day about money lost in the stock market.
A blue Mercury Villager was reported stolen Jan. 20 from a residence in the Friendly Village mobile home
park in the 28000 block of Oregon Road.
Jan. 24 citations:
Failure to yield from a stop sign, willful/wanton disregard of public property – Craig Myers, Findlay.

Failure to yield from a stop sign – Michael Beal, Custar.
Underage sales – Claudia Haas, Cygnet.

Charles Sosbe, Luckey, reportedly lost control on the ice and snow and struck a ditch.
¥ at Ohio 199 one-tenth of a mile south of Muir Road, in Webster Township. A 2005 Jeep Laredo driven by
Lance Lawson, Wayne, reportedly traveled off the road and overturned in a ditch.
In the 900 block of Main Street, Jerry City, a GPS unit was reported stolen from a vehicle.
A purse as well as a compact disc case containing approximately 40 CDs belonging to a female juvenile
were reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Otsego High School, Tontogany, during a basketball
game.
A dispute incident between a father a daughter was reported in the 400 block of North Main Street,
Bloomdale.
Theft of two air conditioners was reported from a building in the 20000 block of Taylor Street, Weston.

A vehicle was reportedly keyed in the parking lot of BioFit Engineered Products in rural Bowling Green.

Telephone harassment was reported in the 1100 block of Joseph Road, Luckey.

¥ at U.S. Route 6 and Bowling Green Road East. A 1993 Ford Aerostar driven by Elizabeth Miller, Grelton,
reportedly struck a 2007 GMC Canyon operated by Andrew Brown, Sandusky, which was stopped at the stop
sign on Bowling Green Road East. Miller took evasive action in response to an unidentified red pickup
truck which pulled in front of the vehicle.
A bicycle was reported stolen from a lean-to attached to a garage at the rear of a property in the 400
block of Myers Street, Jerry City.
In the 24000 block of Pemberville Road, in rural Perrysburg, a woman reported receiving threatening text
messages from the father of her child, against whom she had a protection order.
In the 8700 block of Bradner Road, Risingsun, a woman reported that her daughter was receiving harassing
messages on Facebook from another female juvenile.
A domestic dispute between a male and female was reported in the 15000 block of Freyman Road, Cygnet.
At a mobile home park in the 13000 block of Center Street, Weston, a 17-year-old male reportedly threw a
bottle of lotion at his sister, then left the premises on foot before returning. A copy of the report
was to be forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor.
A domestic violence incident was reported in North Baltimore.
In the 17000 block of Robinson Road in rural Bowling Green, a man reported that his son was drunk and
disorderly, and that he wanted him removed from the residence.
