Bowling Green women’s basketball is on the road looking to start a new winning streak.
The Falcons, 15-2 overall and 3-1 in the Mid-American Conference, had its 15-game winning streak ended by
Kent State, 44-43, on Saturday.
Bowling Green plays at Buffalo tonight with tipoff at 7.
"It’s an important loss. It’s something that we have to learn from and get better after this because
we have a quick turnaround," BG senior Lauren Prochaska said on Saturday. "We have to learn
what we did wrong this game and fix it before we get out to Buffalo, which is also a very tough team.

"We have to learn from this, get better, and move on."
Prochaska is averaging 19.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while fellow senior Tracy Pontius is
averaging 12.8 points and 4.2 assists.
GOOD LOSS?: Kent State head Bob Lindsay said Bowling Green should benefit from its loss.
"Sometimes when you win 15 games in a row, you walk into a gym and you can be a little
over-confident too," Lindsay said on Saturday. "This helps a team get back to earth and do
what they do well.
"Until somebody shows they can beat them (BG) with any consistency, they are the best team in the
league."
BUFFALO: Buffalo is 9-8 overall and 2-2 in the MAC. UB already has surpassed the win total for all of
last season, and is just one win shy of last year’s conference victory total.
The Bulls are coming off a 65-51 victory at Ohio.
Kourtney Brown, a 6-0 senior, leads the MAC in scoring (22.9 ppg), rebounding (11.9 rpg), blocked shots
(2.6 per game) and field goal percentage (62.3 percent from the field). Brown is averaging 27.0 ppg in
MAC games, shooting 73.7 percent in those four contests
Bowling Green has not allowed an opposing player to score 20 points in any game this season. Brown has
scored over 20 points in 11 of the Bulls’ 17 games, including three games of more than 30 points.
NEXT: The game with Buffalo concludes the first six-game swing through the MAC East. BG starts play
against the West on Saturday, hosting Central Michigan with tipoff at noon. The game is to be televised
by STO.
