Dinner benefits Honor Flight
PERRYSBURG – A spaghetti dinner to benefit Honor Flight will be held Saturday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at
American Legion Post 28.
The meal will include spaghetti with sauce and meatballs, a tossed salad, dinner roll, coffee, and milk.

Cost for adults at the event is $7.50. Children under 12 years will be charged $5.
The post is located at 130 W. Indiana Ave.
Ice rink opens at City Park
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation has opened an outdoor ice skating rink in City Park across from the
aquatic complex by the Hoffman Shelter. The rink will be open this winter during park hours, dawn to
dusk, weather permitting.
There is no charge to use the rink but participants will need to provide their own skates.

Lake board meets Wed.
MILLBURY – The Lake Local Board of Education will hold its 2011 organizational meeting on Wednesday at
6:30 p.m. in the middle school library.
The regular January meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
Thrift store has one-day sale
NORTH BALTIMORE – The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on State Street will have a bag-day sale Wednesday
from 1 to 5 p.m.
The store will then be closed until Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. for maintenance.
BG Kiwanis Club gets ‘Be Healthy’ program update
Doris Herringshaw, of the Wood County Ohio State University Extension, will speak to the Bowling Green
Kiwanis Club at noon on Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Herringshaw is an extension educator and has worked for the Wood County OSU Extension office since 1978.
She will discuss the results of the "Be Healthy Now Wood County" program that the extension
office was involved in this fall.
