PERRYSBURG – Effective Tuesday, Perrysburg Schools has a new maintenance supervisor.
Norman Drogmiller II, of the south Toledo area, was hired on a two-year administrative contract by the
Perrysburg Board of Education at its work session Tuesday morning.
His annual salary was set at $50,586.
Aura Norris, the district’s executive director for human resources, stated Monday that Drogmiller, a
graduate of Rogers High School, has been in the field since 1972, and most recently served as
maintenance supervisor at Textileather Corp. in Toledo before its closing in 2009.
Drogmiller is additionally working towards an associate’s degree in building maintenance at Owens
Community College, which he expects to complete in December 2012. He will also receive a certificate in
HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) at the end of this year as a component of the degree
program.
Norris noted that as maintenance supervisor, Drogmiller will report to her and supervise district
maintenance and custodial personnel, recommend maintenance and custodial purchases, and work closely
with the food service and transportation supervisors on evaluations and other matters. He will also most
probably work a great deal with upcoming permanent improvement projects in the district.
Drogmiller, who for the last 15 years has been an active athletic booster for Bowsher High School,
volunteering for them and serving as sports announcer and booster president, is taking over the position
from Arnie Lewandowsky, who is retiring as district maintenance supervisor after three years.
"He was the first person that was in the position," Norris said. "It was a newly created
position at that time."
She explained that Drogmiller unofficially began work in the position before Christmas.
"So he’s already on board. And he will be working with Arnie until Arnie’s last day, which is Jan.
14."
