Sophomores will attend leadership program

Two Bowling Green High School sophomore have been selected for the HOBY leadership development program.

Amy Johnson and Kelli Baumgardner will attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership week set for June at Ohio
Northern University, Ada.
Johnson is a member of Model United Nations, orchestra, FFA and the tennis team. She also is president of
the ping pong club at BGHS, and is active in Girl Scouts, 4-H and Wood County Junior Fair Board. She
twice has served as a People to People ambassador, and she performs with the Toledo Junior Youth
Orchestra.
Johnson operates her own lawn care service.
Baumgardner is a majorette for the marching band and also twirls competitively. A varsity letterman with
the dance team and with track, she is a member of the student activities board and orchestra.
She is active in 4-H, and is treasurer of Colorful Clover; she is a member of the Junior Fair Board.
HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop youth to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.
