Vehicular assault ruled a homicide

PERRYSBURG – The death of a Toledo man, who was dragged and struck by a vehicle, will be considered a
homicide.
The Lucas County Coroner’s Office confirmed today that an autopsy had been completed for 25-year-old
Steven Jagodzinski, who died Saturday as a result of complications from blunt-force trauma to the head.
The office ruled the death a homicide.
Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson said this morning that no decision had been made yet on whether to
pursue any new charges in the case, which involves 18-year-olds Gage Lee, of Northwood, and Dominic
Dilucia, of Rossford.
Lee has been charged with complicity to felonious assault and Dilucia has been charged with felonious
assault.
According to Perrysburg Township Police, the incident began Sunday morning with a dispute at Perrysburg
Estates at Reitz and Lime City roads. Just before 2 a.m., Jagodzinski was deliberately drug by a vehicle
about 18 feet. As he escaped and began to stand, the driver struck the victim with the car. He was taken
to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo in critical condition.
Contributions to help pay funeral expenses may be made at any Fifth Third Bank in Jagodzinski’s name.
