Otsego sells volleyball tickets
TONTOGANY – Otsego is selling tickets for the regional volleyball match against Archbold on Wednesday at
Liberty-Benton High School. The match starts at 6 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale during school hours 7 a.m.-3 p.m. in the high school office through Wednesday,
and tonight from 6-7.
Presale tickets are $6. All tickets at the door are $8.
BGSU men’s golfers finish 12th
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Bowling Green’s men’s golf team finished 12th in the Renaissance Invitational.
Indiana won the 12-team event with an 832 total. Bowling Green finished at 880 after a final round 290,
the best score of the third round.
Parker Hewit led the Falcons with a 3-under 213 total, which tied for 18th.
Other BG scores were: John Powers, 220, tied for 20th after a final round of 72, including one of the
tournament’s 13 eagles; Drew Preston, 222, tied for 41st; Matt Schneider, 226, tied for 51st; and Wes
Gates, 227, tied for 54th.
Powers is a Bowling Green High School graduate. The tournament was the last one of the fall season for
the Falcons.
BGSU women host exhibition
The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team hosts the University of Findlay in an
exhibition game Wednesday. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. in Anderson Arena and admission is free.
Briggs activated by 49ers
SAN FRANCISCO – Diyral Briggs, a former Bowling Green Falcons, has been activated to the active roster by
the San Francisco 49ers.
Briggs is a rookie linebacker who was signed as an undrafted free agent.
Owens soccer falls in regional
PARMA – Schoolcraft College defeated Owens 4-1 in the semifinal of the NJCAA Region XII national
tournament. Owens finishes 12-7-1 overall.
Michael Hamouda scored for Owens and goalies Pavle Udovicic and Dustin Lamon combined for three saves.
