Ann Smith, director of nursing for the Wood County Health Department, will speak to the Bowling Green
Kiwanis Club at noon Thursday at Stone Ridge Country Club.
Smith will provide an update on the H1N1 flu and how Wood County is dealing with it. Wood County has held
large clinics throughout the county to provide vaccinations for high risk individuals.
Smith came to the Wood County Health Department this past April after spending the previous year working
at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
Prior to that she spent 17 years with the Sandusky County Health Department.
Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s in public health, both from Bowling Green State
University.
