Free breakfast and trick-or-treat at Portage Valley
PEMBERVILLE – Otterbein Portage Valley is hosting two events next week that are open to the public.
A free breakfast will be served on Tuesday from 9 until 11 a.m. The question "Why Otterbein?"
will be answered with a continental breakfast and testimonials of why others have chosen Otterbein. The
residential village serves anyone in the 55-and-up population.
OPV will also host Trick-or-Treat on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Area residents are invited to bring
their children or just come to see the costumed kids. There will be donuts, cider, and games for all.

Briar Hill trick-or-treat Oct. 29
NORTH BALTIMORE – Briar Hill Health Campus at 600 Sterling Drive will host a community trick or treat
night Thursday from 6:30 to 8.
Area children and residents’ grand- and great-grandchildren are invited to come trick or treat with the
residents.

Risingsun 1956 grads reunited
Twenty members and spouses of the Risingsun High School class of 1956 met recently at the Fostoria
Country Club for lunch to celebrate their 53rd anniversary.
In attendance were Ottis and Jackie Bowe Jr., Dowagiac, Mich; Bonnie (Cox) and Carl Thaxton, Harley Shaw,
Fostoria; Janet (Dick) Dillion, Frazeysburg; Darlene Few, Columbus; Mary (Hemminger) and Jerry Silvers,
Findlay; Lynn and Pat Sawyer, Perrysburg; Bernard and Joan Lehmann, Kansas; Imagene (Purkey) and Sonny
McClellan, Bloomdale; Agnes (Strong) Graber, Bowling Green; Juanita (White) and Dave Martien, Tiffin;
and John and Patti Womeldorf, Ostrander.
The group will meet again Sept. 23, 2010.
