Joann A. Kemenah, 74, of Risingsun, passed away Thursday evening, October 22, 2009 at Wood County
Hospital, Bowling Green.
She was born September 7, 1935 in Risingsun to the late Leo Jacob and Elizabeth Ann (Sawyer) Lehmann.
Joann married Harry H. Kemenah Jr. on November 23, 1957 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and
he preceded her in death November 26, 2005.
Surviving is her son, Greg (Betsy) Kemenah, Lockport, N.Y., sisters, Barbara Moor, Bradner, Donna (Peter)
Pesch, Cleveland, Eileen “Susie” (Bob) Hiser, Butler, Ind., and a brother, Richard (Sandy) Lehmann,
Buckeye, Az.
Joann was an administrative assistant with the John B. Rogers Company, Fostoria for 22 years and
Autolite, (Allied Signal) for 18 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and the senior citizen center in Wayne. Joann
had volunteered for various charities, spent time reading to the elderly at Good Shepherd Home, and most
enjoyed spending time with her son and his family.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2009 at HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 242 W.
Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will
be prayed at 10 a.m. A funeral luncheon will follow immediately after Mass in the Parish Hall.
Graveside services will take place Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Scott Trinity Cemetery, Risingsun.
Memorial contributions are requested to the senior citizen center, Wayne, or to the educational fund for
her grandchildren.
