Siblings struck by vehicle on Five Point Road
PERRYSBURG – A teenager and his infant brother were struck by a passing vehicle Monday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 17-year-old Perrysburg resident was pushing his
2-year-old brother in a stroller in the right lane in the 6000 block of Five Point Road at about 8 p.m.
when they were both struck by a passing westbound vehicle driven by Brittany Snyder, of Perrysburg.
According the report, the driver estimated the vehicle’s speed at around 20 miles per hour.
Both the teenager and his brother were taken to Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, by Troy Township EMS
with non-incapacitating injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
Pearl, S. Maple streets closed
Continuing tree and sidewalk work will close South Maple Street between Pearl and Ordway, and Pearl
Street between South Maple and Buttonwood.
The closure continues today and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday fish fry at Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS – Alva N. Sidle Post No. 232 of the American Legion will hold a fish fry Friday from 5 to 7
p.m. at the post home on U.S. 24.
The donation is $8 for all you care to eat.
Port authority meets Monday
The Northern Wood County Port Authority will hold its regular meeting on Monday at 8 a.m. at the
Perrysburg Township Hall, 26609 Lime City Road, Perrysburg.
