Food distribution Friday in BG
Bowling Green’s monthly food distribution and Senior Food Box program will be held Friday from 9:30 to 11
a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1526 E. Wooster St.
South Grove two-way Thurs.
South Grove Street from Wooster to Pearl streets becomes two-way Thursday morning.
The section of street has been one-way for more than 40 years because of the junior high school at Grove
and Wooster. The building is no longer in use.
Mercer Road work Thursday
Approximately 200 feet of pavement on Mercer Road north of Merry Street will be repaired Thursday.
Bowling Green City Engineer Brian O’Connell said the work is being done under warranty. He said it
appears the surface in that area is slipping on a fabric mat between two layers of pavement. The surface
will be milled out and replaced.
There will be intermittent lane closures and traffic will be restricted to one lane. Delays are likely.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes.
Access to BGSU and BGSU parking lots will be maintained.
Baked steak dinner in Weston
Weston American Legion Post No. 409 will hold a baked steak dinner on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the post
home, South Main Street. A $7 donation is suggested, and carry-outs are available.
