Northwood opened its volleyball season with a 25-22, 23-25, 25-19, 19-25, 18-16 win over Lake in
Northwood Saturday.
Northwood’s leaders were: Shelby Gasiorowski, 28 kills, nine digs; Sammie Brisbin, 16 digs, three aces;
Shayna Hague, seven kills; Shannon Robedeau, 14 assists; and Alyssa Rable, 19 assists.
VOLLEYBALL
Rossford wins in three
In Toledo, Rossford defeated Toledo Waite, 25-13, 25-17, 25-18 Saturday.
Rossford’s leaders were: Abbie Riehm, seven kills, 12 digs, five blocks, five aces; Jordan Gauthier,
eight kills, 10 digs; and Annie Riehm, 24 assists, six aces, four kills.
NB loses twice
In Jerry City, McComb defeated North Baltimore, 25-12, 25-6 and Elmwood beat the Tigers, 25-11, 25-7
Saturday.
Against McComb, NB’s leaders were: Emily Rayle, six digs; Mackenzie Carpenter, three digs, one assist;
and Leona Euler, two kills.
Against Elmwood, NB’s leaders were: Euler, three kills, two aces; Carpenter, three assists, two digs; and
Taylor Boyer, four digs.
Eastwood wins twice
In Luckey, Eastwood defeated Delta, 25-15, 21-25, 25-23 and Southview, 25-16, 25-12 Saturday.
Lakota beats Port Clinton
In Kansas, Lakota opened its season with a 25-5, 25-13, 25-20.
Lakota’s leaders were: Olivia Frantz, four aces; Hannah Podach, seven assists; Emily Hagen, 10 assists;
Amy Gosche, 11 kills, two blocks; Rachel Hoffman, six kills, four digs; and Jessica Hoffman, five digs.

BOYS SOCCER
Rossford 4, Toledo Waite 0
In Toledo, Rossford improved to 3-0 with its shutout of Waite.
Zach Leahy scored twice for Rossford while John Lydy
and Tyler Kralovic also had goals. James Schumacher, Mark Hotz, Kyle Keller, and Joe Hotz each added an
assist.
GIRLS SOCCER
Northwood 4, Eastwood 4
In Northwood, The Rangers and Eastwood played to a non-league tie Saturday.
Becca Avery, Sandy Koch, Jessica Grindle and Maddie Vickers scored goals for Northwood. Megan Hess made
nine saves for Northwood.
Kate Nicely scored two goals for Eastwood while Brie Rapp and Roki Rossman each added one goal. Saige
Smith had two assists. Kristen Martin made 11 saves for the Eagles.
BGHS 4, Bowhser 0
In Toledo, Anna Erfman, Katie Teggart, Erin Connell and Erin Kielmeyer scored goals as Bowling Green won
its season-opener Saturday over Toledo Bowsher.
Archbold 3, Rossford 1
At Rossford, Archbold claimed the non-league victory.
For Rossford, Sarah Waggoner scored on an assist from Alyssa Waclawski. Megan Hirzel made 14 saves for
the Bulldogs.
Junior Varsity results
VOLLEYBALL
North Baltimore defeated Elmwood 2-1 and lost to McComb, 2-0.
Lakota defeated Port Clinton, 25-15, 25-12.
