Dayspring makes changes
Dayspring Assembly of God, North Dixie Highway, will begin its new schedule this Sunday, with worship
services at 9 and 11 a.m. Preschool ministries open to newborns through five-year olds; Kidz Church, for
those in kindergarten through fifth grade; and School of Ministry classes for all ages will be offered
during both services.
Dayspring’s new School of Ministry, "Discipleship by Design" will begin with four core classes,
also at 9 and 11 a.m.

Rock concert tonight
First United Methodist Church, 1526 E. Wooster St., will play host tonight to a Christian rock concert by
7eventh Time Down. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person at the door. The group draws on a
wide variety of rock musicians for their style. Their stated goals is "to have the music filter
into the innermost parts of you."
Auction to benefit ‘Habitat’
Trinity United Methodist Church, 200 N. Summit St., will hold a benefit auction on Aug. 23 to benefit
Habitat for Humanity. It will be held from noon to 3 p.m. with Mike Adler serving as the auctioneer.
Lunch and root beer floats will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Cost is a donation.
Items to be auctioned include furniture, hand-sewn quilts, baby quilts, baskets, as well as Ohio State
and Michigan folding tables.
Bishop to help St. Rose church celebrate its feast day
PERRYSBURG – Bishop Leonard Blair will be the main celebrant at the noon Mass on Aug. 23 to celebrate the
feast day of St. Rose of Lima.
A parish picnic will follow.
The feast day will be celebrated at all weekend Masses. Those attending other services are also welcome
to attend the parish picnic.
Movie night on Saturday
SUGAR RIDGE – The Sugar Ridge Community Church will hold another of its ongoing series of free
"Movie Nights" on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the church.
"Faith Like Potatoes," will be shown. Snacks will be served and the public is invited to
attend.
Ulrich to be installed at Abiding Word
Pastor Luke Ulrich will be installed at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bowling Green on
Sunday at a 4 p.m. service.
The public is invited.
Unitarians to feature science and faith
Sheila Roberts, an associate professor of geology at Bowling Green State University will discuss how
scientific thinking and faith do not have to conflict at Sunday’s 11 a.m. service at Maumee Valley
Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 20189 N. N. Dixie Highway.
WLMB-TV earns accreditation
WINCHESTER, Va. – The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability announced the accreditation of
Dominion Broadcasting WLMB-TV of Toledo.
ECFA accreditation is based on its "Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship," including
financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fund-raising.
The station has thus earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is accredited by
ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.
"We are pleased to include in our membership a ministry committed to high-quality, Christ-centered
television and programming excellence," said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.
