The Wood County Fair Board is donating fair passes again this summer for all participants in the summer
reading program "Be Creative at Your Library."
Stop in at the Art-rageous Gallery in the Children’s Place at the Wood County Public Library starting
Friday to report reading points and pick up a pass for the Wood County Fair. Point reports will be
accepted through Aug. 21.
The fair is held August 4-10. The pass provides admittance for only one day to a child or teen reader. If
the pass is used the following days it also provides entrance on Aug. 9 to the Combine Demolition Derby
or entrance on Aug. 10. to the Car Demolition Derby. While at the fair stop and say hello to the Friends
of the Library at their booth under the grandstand.
Readers also can pick up their mobile at the library, a certificate boasting total points earned, and
receive raffle tickets for prizes on display in the Children’s Place. Raffle winners will be notified
the week of Aug. 24.
