The following events will take place the week of July 27-31 at the Wood County Senior Cemter, 305 N. Main
St., Bowling Green.
MONDAY
9 a.m. Get Fit – Exercise by video
10 a.m. Program: Mud Hens game – advance registration required
12 p.m. Lunch: Sweet and sour chicken or pork cutlet
1-4 p.m. Cards: Contract Bridge and Euchre
TUESDAY
9 a.m. Program: Wii Bowling at Findlay Senior Center – advance registration required
10 a.m. Program: Picnic at Carter Park – advance registration required
12 p.m. Lunch: Beef lasagna or oven fried chicken
1 and 6 p.m. Movie Day – feature: "Slum Dog Millionaire"
3:30 p.m. Get Fit- Exercise by video
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Chicken teriyaki, rice pilaf
6 p.m. Program: Dominoes
WEDNESDAY

FRIDAY, JULY 31

10 a.m. Watercolor Art Class: free and open to the public; bring own supplies
12 p.m. Lunch: Scalloped potatoes and ham or chicken chimichunga
1 p.m. Program: Wii Bowling
A $2 suggested donation is appreciated for lunches and $4 for dinners. Dinner reservations are needed by
2 p.m. of that day.
ADVANCE PLANNING
Intergenerational Day Camp: "Caring for the World’s Families" Aug. 13, Rotary Nature Center,
Wintergarden Road. Nature crafts, team games and prizes, outdoor exploration, snacks and lunch. Program
is designed for grandparents and grandchildren ages 5-12. Cost is $5 per participant. Registration
required; call (419) 353-5661.
Tour to Allen County Museum: Aug. 4. Leave Elder Beerman at 11 a.m. Cost: $10 for museum admission. The
museum’s many displays include a graphophone, iron lung, 1920’s organ, 1895 X-ray machine. After the
tour, lunch at the historical Kewpee restaurant in Lima, cost on your own. Registration required; call
419-353-5661 or 800-367-4935. Trip limited to the first 15 registrants.
Trip to Schedel Gardens near Elmore: Aug. 11.Leave Elder Beerman at 9:15 a.m. Cost: $12; lunch on own at
the Village Inn. Of the 17-plus acres of grounds, about one half is upland and the remainder is lowland.
There are 25 varieties of Japanese maples and 16 species of pine. Golf carts will be provided due to the
size of the grounds. Registration required, as there is only room for 11 people on the bus. Others may
carpool or meet the group there.
