Humane Ohio, a non-profit organization that operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, will hold an
educational opportunity Saturday at Petco, 1111 S. Main St., Bowling Green.
It will be held from 5 to 8 p.m.
Humane Ohio representatives will be on hand to provide information about spay/neuter, explain how it is
beneficial to pets, pet parents and the community, and to provide information about their low-cost
spay/neuter prices.
The clinic, at 5333 Secor Road, Toledo, serves all area pet owners (including those in Wood County) as
well as feral/stray cat caretakers, animal shelters and rescue groups.
Humane Ohio can offer low-cost spay/neuter prices because private donations and grants help subsidize the
higher cost of spay/neuter procedures. Humane Ohio believes that all animals should receive the highest
quality veterinary care possible. The clinic uses state of the art instruments and equipment, all
spay/neuter surgeries are performed by qualified, licensed vets (DVMs) and every patient receives a
brief physical exam and quality pain medication.
Humane Ohio has fixed almost 30,000 dogs and cats since 2002, including 8,700 in 2008 alone.Humane Ohio,
