To the Editor: Government health insurance not the answer

0

Here are a few things that you may want to consider before you think that government health insurance is
the answer.
Everyone should have health insurance but not given to them.
What we need to do is change some rules and the way insurance programs are being operated and ran.
We need to stop the frivolous lawsuits and people going to the emergency rooms for non emergencies.
There should be a cap on the charges rendered at doctors offices and hospitals.
We (the USA) are already in debt further than ever before in history.
What are breaking our back are entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare, welfare, food
stamps, etc.
Look at other countries and their social health care and you will see why we do not need it here, it is
not working and the states and countries that have it are bankrupt.
Here are a few examples of what the government cannot run:
VA hospitals, horror stories come out of these facilities.
Post offices, Medicare, social security, IRS.
Is that who you trust to run your health care?
If you want health care and do not have it get a job where they offer health coverage: even if it takes
you going back to school for a new trade or occupation.
When is the ridiculous spending going to end?
If you were going bankrupt would you take your credit cards and check book and spend all that you have
and when you are out of money you simply start writing checks with no money in the bank to cover the
checks?
Then after you do that you borrow money from anyone that is dumb enough to lend it to you so that you can
spend that too?
I do not want another’s money or wealth I want the chance to make it on my own, that’s it!
Be careful of what you wish for because you may get it! Change you want? Think about a nation where all
is under the control of the government and a country that is broke.
I am old school and in the days of my youth you were not entitled to anything other than opportunity and
the chance to advance yourself. That is all you should need.
Let’s quit giving and start working together all as one.
Remember those great words that John F. Kennedy spoke?
"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country!"
Or in this case, what you can do for yourself.
